The California Middle Grades Alliance is accepting nominations through December 15, 2010 of school district governance leaders who provide outstanding support for middle grades education. The awards jointly honor school boards and superintendents working as a team to support the California Department of Education’s 12 Recommendations for Middle Grades Success, part of CDE’s Taking Center Stage—Act II Web portal.
Nominations must come from a middle grades principal and be seconded by a separate school or district administrator. Winners will be recognized at a February 24, 2011 luncheon in Sacramento prior to the California League of Middle Schools’ annual conference February 25-27, 2011.
