The California School Boards Association, with support from the David and Lucille Packard Foundation, has developed a Geographic Imaging System and database to track the number and diversity of COE and district-run preschool programs as well as preschool partnerships throughout California.

How to use this site

Users may access county office of education and district Preschool Profiles in one of two ways:

Find by county office of education or district

Once you have entered the map, please find your COE or district by using the options on the left column of the page. Once you have selected your district or county office, it will appear on the map highlighted in light blue. The COE or district Preschool Profile can be accessed by first selecting the "i" icon, then clicking the light blue highlighted COE or district area.

Find by exploring the map

Users may also explore the map by using the navigation buttons, located at the top left of the map. Once you have located the appropriate district, use the mouse to click the district name. The COE and district Preschool Profile will then pop up on your screen.

Data

CSBA collected preschool information from individual school districts, county offices of education and the California Department of Education. CSBA does not modify the data once it has been received. If you would like more information about a particular county office of education and school district, please refer to the contact information at the end of each preschool profile. If you would like to update your COE or district's preschool profile, please contact the CSBA staff contact listed below.
