CSBA Annual Forecast Webcast to Discuss State Budget Proposal, Impacts to Schools
SACRAMENTO, CA – The California School Boards Association invites members of the media to listen to its annual Forecast Webcast on Thursday, January 17, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The Webcast will include a panel discussion of the state’s leading education budget experts who will address the 2008-09 budget crisis and its impacts to school districts/county offices of education. The panel will be available immediately after the Webcast to answer questions. The purpose of the discussion is to prepare CSBA members for the 2008-09 budget year, offer strategies on how school districts/ county offices can build their budgets, and discuss local implications for mid-year budget cuts and possible statewide fixes.
