CSBA Partners with Northwest Capital Recovery Group to Save Schools Money on Utility and Telecom Bills
SACRAMENTO – The California School Boards Association has joined forces with Northwest Capital Recovery Group, a Pacific Northwest consortium since 1994, to offer school districts and county offices of education a program that analyzes utility and telecom bills for overbilling of services. NWCRG specializes in recovering overcharges for clients in the areas of telecommunications, electricity, natural gas, garbage and water/sewer/storm.
“CSBA is proud to offer this cost-saving program to our members,” said CSBA Executive Director Scott P. Plotkin.
There is no risk or out-of-pocket cost to participate in the program. School districts/county offices share a percentage of any refunds, savings or credits after they appear on the bill, so negative cash flow is not an issue. NWCRG offers a purely performance-based analysis; if they don’t find anything, the school district/county office owes nothing. NWCRG has a record of finding refunds and/or savings in more than 95 percent of its cases.
NWCRG believes that in many instances it’s impossible for anyone to be an “expert” in all aspects of utility and telephone bill analysis. The company’s consortium approach obtains the best possible result for school districts/county offices. NWCRG has created alliances with other world-class analysis firms across the country so school districts/county offices have the benefit of different “eyes” reviewing their particular situation.
