CSBA, School Innovations & Advocacy offer new special education review services
SACRAMENTO – The California School Boards Association has entered into a partnership with School Innovations & Advocacy, an education services company, to begin offering Special Education Review services to school districts and county offices of education. Special Education Review services will determine methods for districts/COEs to reallocate existing resources while maintaining special education program integrity.
“CSBA is proud to enter into this new partnership to better serve our members,” said CSBA Executive Director Scott P. Plotkin. “The Special Education Review service will allow our members to preserve and improve special education programs.”
The objective of the Special Education Review service is to identify service delivery options that may be expanded or modified to realize savings and results that can be reinvested to enhance special education programs.
CSBA and SI&A work directly with district/COE special education personnel and the chief business official to:
Gather documentation on special education programs
Conduct a thorough operations analysis
Provide results and recommendations aligned with district/COE core values
Present a comprehensive report which covers both fiscal and policy perspectives
