 | CSBA and California Project LEAN (Leaders Encouraging Activity and Nutrition) are jointly hosting three regional Policy in Action trainings to be held in the Central Valley, Shasta and the Bay Area in February and March, 2010. These trainings are designed specifically for school board members, superintendents, assistant superintendents, wellness leads and district/COE physical education and physical activity leads, who are encouraged to attend as part of a district team. |

Kidsdata.org, a project of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, launched a comprehensive Web site that tracks hundreds of indicators on the health and well being of children throughout California.
The California Taskforce on Youth and Workplace Wellness’ project, Physical Education Research for Kids (PERK), is hosting a policy briefing on February 4 at the State Capitol.
The California School Health Centers Association is hosting three regional conferences focusing on resources and strategies for providing school health services.
The October 6-7 School Wellness Conference was a great success with over 900 attendees.
CSBA has developed new resources that address safe routes to school, joint use of facilities, physical activity before, during and after school and green schools.
