The Education Commission of the States, in collaboration with the National School Boards Association and the American Association of School Administrators, is seeking 56 additional school board members and administrators to join its “100 District Leaders for Civic Engagement and Service-Learning Network.”
ECS’ National Center for Learning and Citizenship has already selected an initial slate of 44 district leaders. Among the school board members selected for the network are former CSBA President Juanita Haugen and Region 8 Director Cindy Marks. The group first met at the NSBA Annual Conference in Chicago in April.
Applications will be accepted through Sept. 16. To learn more, visit www.ecs.org/nclc or call Elizabeth Partoyan, NSBA’s director of research, training and member services, at 703-838-6734.
