CALSA Summer Institute July 29-Aug. 2

With a focus on grooming the next generation of Latino school leaders, the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators is hosting its Sixth Annual Summer Institute July 29-Aug. 2 in La Jolla. The 2007 institute, “So You Want to Be a Superintendent and Educational Leader,” will feature 12 workshops, as well as mock interviews and evaluations of cover letters and resumes submitted by aspiring superintendents and administrators. Headliners include state Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell and Sarah Jerome, president of the American Association of School Administrators. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who recently announced his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination, has been invited to attend.
