Forty-five school districts and one county office of education have sent CSBA their adopted resolutions opposing Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 2008-09 state budget proposal and urging the governor and Legislature to discuss all possibilities for resolving the budget crisis. CSBA Region 7 (Alameda and Contra Costa counties) has generated the most activity so far, with six school districts adopting resolutions modeled on CSBA’s sample resolution. Region 16 (Inyo and San Bernardino counties) is next, with five; Region 18 (Imperial and Riverside counties) and Region 20 (Santa Clara County) are tied with four resolutions each.

Other districts and COEs that have adopted resolutions should fax them to CSBA at 916-372-3369.
