Delegate Assembly election ballots are due March 17
Published: February 1, 2008
Ballots for this year’s CSBA Delegate Assembly elections were mailed to school districts and county offices of education Friday, Feb. 1. Completed ballots should be returned to CSBA’s West Sacramento office and must be postmarked no later than Monday, March 17, to be valid.
All districts, COEs and candidates will be notified of the results by Monday, March 31. Runoff elections will be conducted in the case of tie votes.
The Delegate Assembly meets twice each year. It sets CSBA’s general policy direction and fulfills a critical governance role within the association through the adoption of the Policy Platform every two years and the adoption of other policy statements as needed. Delegates act as liaisons between CSBA and local board members in their regions, and they also meet with the other delegates and the CSBA director within their regions.
Delegates serve two-year terms that begin April 1. All new and re-elected delegates are eligible to take part in the May 17-18 Delegate Assembly in Sacramento.
