CSBA is pleased to announce a partnership with School Innovations & Advocacy to offer Special Education Review services to school districts and county offices of education across the state.
Special Education Review
Special education is a districtwide issue. Our Special Education Review determines ways to reallocate existing resources while maintaining program integrity. SI&A will work directly with your special education personnel to gather documentation, conduct a thorough operations analysis, and provide results and recommendations aligned with your district’s core values.
Reallocate resources and improve program effectiveness
The SI&A Special Education Review team, led by Bonnie Russell-Hunt, a former special education administrator, assists your district to preserve or enhance special education programs.
Our objective is to identify service delivery options that may be expanded or modified to realize savings – results that can be reinvested to enhance programs.
We work directly with your special education personnel to:
- Gather documentation on your special education programs
- Conduct a thorough operations analysis
- Provide results and recommendations aligned with your district’s core values
- Present a comprehensive report which covers both fiscal and policy perspectives
Leadership
Bonnie Russell-Hunt brings more than 30 years of experience in the field, including special education administrative and leadership roles in California public schools. The former Director of Special Education Consulting for a school business services firm, she now works on behalf of SI&A to coordinate Special Education Review services. Bonnie holds an Administrative Credential from California State University, Fullerton and a Master’s in Education from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
