Overview

The Celebrating Educational Opportunities for Students of All Cultures conference is a joint effort of the California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas school board associations. All school board members, superintendents and district staff responsible for bilingual, migrant, limited-English-proficient, multi-cultural and ethnic studies are encouraged to attend.

Attending the Celebrating Educational Opportunities for Students of All Cultures conference will allow attendees to:

  • Increase educational opportunities for all underrepresented student populations.
  • Engage in dialogue about how to meet the educational needs of all children.
  • Hear about ways to create pathways to success for both students and staff.
  • Collaborate with other leadership teams to share best practices for setting direction and policy for our schools.
  • Join school board members and administrators from Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas as we showcase successful student achievement programs and discuss the latest educational trends and innovations.

The conference will not be held in 2012 as the participating states discuss new means to achieve what have been the traditional goals of the event.
