Susan Henry
Director, Region 15, Huntington Beach Union HSD
Susan Henry, a board member in the Huntington Beach Union High School District, is the Region 15 Director of the California School Boards Association, representing Orange County. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2012.
Henry has served on the Board of Trustees for the Huntington Beach Union High School District since 2000 and has served as board President three times. In addition, she has served as the board representative to Coastline Regional Occupational Program (ROP), participated in numerous district committees and co-chaired a successful $236 million bond campaign in 2003.
She is an active CSBA member, serving on Delegate Assembly since 2004. She earned her Masters in Governance in 2002, has served as a Golden Bell validator.
She is an active participant of the Orange County School Boards Association (OCSBA), serving in many capacities including President, Vice President, Nominations Chair, and Bylaw Review Committee.
Henry is a Registered Nurse receiving her degree from Santa Ana College. She also holds a BFA from California State University Long Beach. A published studio textile artist, Henry's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries mostly in California and she is a member of the juried cooperative California Fibers.
Henry and her husband Kim have two sons and a daughter.
