CSBA’s Forecast Webcast to discuss state budget crisis, impacts on schools
West Sacramento, Calif. – The California School Boards Association invites members of the media to listen to its annual Forecast Webcast on Thursday, January 15, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The Webcast format will be a panel discussion of the state’s leading education budget experts who will address the state budget crisis and its impacts on K-12 school districts and county offices of education. Following introduction by CSBA President Paula Campbell, the panel will explore the current and future economic and political landscapes, offer strategies for how districts/county offices can build their budgets, discuss local implications for possible mid-year and 2009-10 budget cuts, and comment on the devastating impacts of budget cuts on children and their families.
