Collective Bargaining Summits coming to 3 cities

California’s leading education management organizations will once again offer Collective Bargaining Summits around the state this fall, providing context, analysis and practical advice on how to approach negotiations with professional and labor representatives.

Sessions are scheduled Sept. 29 in Sacramento, Oct. 1 in Visalia and Oct. 7 in Ontario. Presentations will focus on the impact of the state budget crisis on labor negotiations, ways to manage and control health care costs, anticipated union bargaining strategies and recommendations for management teams.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the programs will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The summits are hosted by CSBA, the Association of California School Administrators, California Association of School Business Officials, California County Superintendents Educational Services Association and the School Employers Association of California. Members of those associations can attend for $195 per person; nonmembers pay $225.
