24 February 2009 - The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed by President Obama Feb. 17, provides $787 billion to help jump-start the nation’s flagging economy. Under the stimulus bill, education is slated to receive $115 billion, of which California should see about $8.6 billion.
