Membership in CSBA gives board members and administrators access to resources that help them fulfill their complex governance and leadership roles and support student success.
With membership renewal notices going out this spring, a glance at the pull-down menus on CSBA’s website suggests the range of critical services available—from About CSBA, with information on how to get involved in the association’s leadership, to:
- education issues—from accountability, adequacy and after-school programs to student wellness, teachers and administrators and beyond
- legislation—news and a searchable database on education-related bills, and a program to identify and contact state and federal officials for every ZIP code in the country
- legal—briefings on crucial legal issues from CSBA’s Education Legal Alliance
- news and media—from sample board resolutions and press releases on pressing issues and weekly email updates to CSBA’s award-winning newsletter and magazine, as well as other CSBA publications and its online communities on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
- training and events—a calendar and registration links for CSBA events, kicking off with the Forecast Webcast each January and climaxing with the Annual Education Conference and Trade Show in December, with many others in between
- services—money-saving programs as well as governance technology services and policy-writing assistance and management
