Parvin Ahmadi

Parvin Ahmadi has over three decades of dedicated service in public education, serving as a teacher, principal, director, assistant superintendent and superintendent for the past 33 years. Currently, she serves as the superintendent of the Castro Valley Unified School District, a role she has held for the past six years.

Ahmadi has been an active member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Board of Directors for the past four years, where she was elected vice president in 2021, served as president-elect in 2022 and president in 2023. Additionally, she has been an instructor for the Superintendent Academy for nine years, focusing on equity and instructional leadership.

Ahmadi was appointed by Speaker Emeritus of the Assembly Anthony Rendon to the State Assembly Blue Ribbon Commission on Early Childhood, representing California superintendents. This role allowed her to contribute to developing the current blueprint for serving children aged 0-5.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Ahmadi was honored as the Women of the Year in 2018 by Sen. Bob Wieckowski for her tireless work in public education and advocacy for children and families in the Bay Area.

Ahmadi holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, San Jose, a master’s degree from National Louis University in Illinois, a certificate of completion from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Saint Mary’s College of California.
