We provide high quality technical education to men and women who seek a rewarding career in the sheet metal and HVAC industry through our joint apprenticeship programs. The contractor members of the California Association of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors (CAL SMACNA) and the craftperson members of the Sheet Metal, Air Rail and Transportation Unions' (SMART) work together to design, construct and maintain advanced HVAC systems for schools that place a premium on energy efficiency and enhanced indoor air quality. We provide a career for highly skilled craftspeople. Electrical workers receive their training through local joint apprenticeship training centers utilizing a standardized education program supported by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). This model education partnership produces a highly skilled and trained workforce equipped to meet the demands of the customer.
