Engage AEC can help you plan your conference and connect with colleagues

CSBA’s Annual Conference and Trade Show always offers a great learning experience and an opportunity to network with other governance leaders. This year’s sessions in San Diego Dec. 5-7 will be no exception–but with more than 100 workshops to choose from, and more than 2,000 registrants so far, planning your schedule and finding those of like mind can be challenging.
Your online conference planner, Engage AEC, can keep track of your schedule for you. All registered attendees automatically have access to the community at aec2013.engage.csba.org.
This year, Engage users qualify to win one of two Samsung Galaxy Note tablets that will be given away during the conference. Sign in to Engage and join the AEC Engage Contest group, where you’ll find more details.
Completing your profile (adding a photo, biographical information and specifying your interests) will allow you to easily locate other conference-goers who plan to attend the same workshops. The home page of Engage AEC can then suggest others who have related interests. Click on their photo to access the person’s bio page, and you’ll be able to send a private message, start a discussion, schedule a meeting or add the person as a contact.
Engage AEC users can also start or join discussion groups on subjects of general interest or oriented to specific events. And from the descriptions provided of each conference session, you can also send a message to others who plan to attend, send a private message to the presenter, or let a friend know about the session with convenient links to Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.
Browse sessions for each day using the handy scheduling function and add those you’re interested in attending to your customized schedule, which can be exported or printed for reference.
