Angelena Pride

Board Member, Rowland USD

Angelena Pride is a dedicated advocate for education with a rich background in governance and leadership. Serving as director of Off-Campus High School Programs at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), she brings over 27 years of experience to her role. Pride's journey in education began with various positions at Mt. SAC, including coordinator of workforce training and development and adjunct faculty member.

Angelena served on the Rowland Unified School District board from 2013 to 2021 and on the La Puente Valley Regional Occupational Programs board from 2017 to 2020. She completed the Masters in Governance® training in 2014, solidifying her understanding of effective governance practices. Since 2017, Pride has been a valued faculty member at CSBA, where she mentors future educational leaders in the student board member training program.

Pride has been an active member of the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association (LACSTA) for more than eight years, serving as secretary and vice president. Additionally, she has represented K-12 school districts in advocacy events at the National School Boards Association in Washington, D.C.

Pride holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, a master's degree in human relations and business, and a master’s degree in education. Her multifaceted background equips her with a comprehensive understanding of educational institutions' challenges and opportunities today.

As a seasoned educator and governance expert, Pride continues to champion the needs of students, educators and communities, ensuring access to quality education for all.
