This innovative two-day training is one of the best opportunities for county board members (both new and veteran) and county superintendents alike. The County Board Advanced Governance workshop will be held at the Yolo County Office of Education at Woodland, CA on Friday, March 23 – Saturday, March 24, 2018. This training will help you attain a high level of competency and understanding of the county board governance role. Throughout the training program, you’ll learn about tools you can use to become a more effective member of your governance team. You’ll hit the ground running with in-depth county focused learning opportunities on budget and finance, county board appellate role, legislative advocacy and community leadership, Local Control Accountability Plans, plus an opportunity to network with other county board members.
