CSBA adopts lean budget

CSBA’s Board of Directors has approved a $13.4 million operating budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, approximately $300,000 less than 2011-12.
That budget funds a leaner and more effective operation than ever before. CSBA Executive Director Vernon M. Billy has led a comprehensive reorganization of the association that members may see most clearly in more direct services and enhanced policy updates and articles, such as the recent webcast for school districts with qualified or negative budget certifications (see related story).
This webcast had one of the largest participation rates of any recent internally hosted CSBA webcasts.
“Like our member districts, we are becoming a leaner and more nimble organization. We’re budgeting conservatively and focusing on providing services and value to our membership,” Billy said.
