Description
CSBA’s Education Workforce Housing (EWH) Deep Dive Workshop C gives attendees the confidence to choose the financing options that best fits their situation and to contract with experts to conduct a formal EWH feasibility study. This workshop is designed for school board members, superintendents and senior administrators who want to explore how EWH could work in their community.
Across two virtual sessions, participants review all financing options for EWH and gain insight into the advantages and drawbacks of each. Then they work with industry experts to map out how to prepare for a formal feasibility study and best practices for contracting a partner for this vital milestone. Participants also learn how to use external vendors or build internal capacity to keep their plans moving forward.
Why attend
As high housing costs continue to push educators out of communities across California and impact student achievement, EWH is increasingly seen as a strategic approach to improving recruitment, retention and long-term fiscal sustainability. EWH Deep Dive Workshop C helps you build the knowledge and skills needed to sustain this work. This training provides in-depth, expert-led exploration of EWH that would otherwise cost thousands of dollars and months of staff time.
How it relates to your role
Board member, superintendent and senior administration leadership is essential for initiating and guiding an EWH initiative. From setting vision and priorities to aligning resources and partnerships, governance teams play the central role in developing long-term strategic solutions to workforce challenges.
