The California Council of School Attorneys (CCSA) is a nonprofit MCLE accredited professional organization that is affiliated with the California School Boards Association (CSBA). Membership is comprised of school law attorneys who represent school districts, county offices of education, and community colleges in California. CCSA was organized in 1991 and continues to provide quality service to the education law community.
The California Council of School Attorneys concluded its elections for the 2022 CCSA Board of Directors at the 2021 CCSA Annual Workshop in San Diego, CA on December 3, 2021.

The purpose of the CCSA:
- Provide four CLE accredited workshops a year with 3 of them being MCLE accredited for Ethics, Substance Abuse, and Elimination of Bias in the legal profession
- Identify the current legal problems of concern to those who advise school boards, and to disseminate legal information and analyses to interested parties, and to promote the exchange of legal information and analysis among the education community
- Provide a state-wide forum for consideration of the practical and professional problems faced by school law attorneys relevant to their practice of providing legal counsel, advice and representation to school districts, county offices of education, and community colleges
- Promote a closer relationship and better understanding between school law attorneys, and their client school board members and administrators
