School districts urged to tap funds for adult education 

“School districts looking to leverage student success would be well-advised to look to $525 million on the table,” writes Alan Helfman in a new CSBA blog post. The funds are part of a block grant for adult education in California. The program aims to develop career education and workforce training. Local education agencies and community colleges have also been asked to collaborate on local initiatives. Helfman, a principal at Adult Education Solutions in southern California, encourages school districts to get involved as well by “creatively leading and leveraging this program.” Read the blog.
