The HazMat program is a time-saving, paperless alternative method of complying with federal and state health and safety regulations for hazardous material information, use, transportation and storage for school districts and county offices of education. HazMat relieves you of the time consuming and expensive maintenance of (M)SDS binders, including frequent updating and distribution to school sites.

The program

The HazMat program is a time-saving, alternative method of compliance with health and safety regulations for school districts and county offices of education. HazMat relieves you of the time consuming and expensive maintenance of (M)SDS binders, including frequent updating and distribution to school sites. Federal and state health and safety regulations require employees to have access to Material Safety Data Sheets for each hazardous material at a site. HazMat eliminates the need to maintain paper copies of (M)SDS on-site.

  1. Immediate toll-free access via 3E's HazMat Mission Control Center to physicians, toxicologists and poison control specialists who are accredited with the American Association of Poison Control Centers.
  2. Each (M)SDS describes a specific commercial or generic product, its hazardous ingredients, physical data, fire/explosion potential, health hazards, spill or leak procedures, special handling, special precautions and other regulatory information.
  3. Help manage spills and contaminations, transportation, storage and use of hazardous materials and assure compliance in OSHA inspections.
  4. Online access to (M)SDS for commonly used products within K-12 educational environment. Including janitorial, maintenance, arts & crafts, laboratory & chemistry supplies and vehicle and facilities maintenance plus access to 3E (M)SDS library containing millions of (M)SDS.  Online access available on Program Option 2, not available as part of Option 1.  Please see program options below.
  5. Live Support 24/7/365 in the following services:
    a)    (M)SDS On Demand for SDS requests: Provides access to 3E's database of millions of (M)SDSs which can then be faxed or emailed directly to the customer, their     employee, emergency responders or other related callers.
    b)    Chemical Spill Hotline: Immediate toll-free access via 3E's EH&S Mission Control Center to Spill Specialists for information and guidance on hazard assessment, location, weather considerations, evaluation of employee competency, PPE, use of absorbents, choice of storage containers, labeling and agency reporting requirements.
    c)    Poison Control Hotline: Immediate, toll-free access via 3E's EH&S Mission Control Center to physicians, toxicologists and Poison Control specialists who are accredited with the American Association of Poison Control Centers.
