2026 Coast2Coast Federal Advocacy Trip

Join CSBA and ACSA for the fifth annual Coast2Coast Federal Advocacy Trip in Washington, D.C., where California governance team members—school and county board members and superintendents—will spotlight issues impacting nearly 6 million students.

This three-day event begins with sessions on California-specific education policy, insider briefings on federal politics, networking with D.C. leaders, and discussions with top policymakers. It concludes with advocacy meetings with California’s congressional representatives.

Please avoid booking return flights before 6:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, as congressional meetings may run until 4:00 p.m. ET.

Registration Fees

Early: $799 from Oct. 7, 2025 – Feb. 26, 2026

Regular: $949 from Feb. 27, 2026 – March 19, 2026

Board of Directors Discount

CSBA and ACSA are pleased to provide a 10% discount on registration fees exclusively for their 2026 Board of Directors. This discount recognizes the service and leadership of board members and applies only to those actively serving on the CSBA or ACSA Board at the time of registration.

Eligibility will be verified during the registration process. The discount cannot be transferred to colleagues, associates, or family members and applies only to the individual board member’s registration fee.

Spouse Registration

The spouse/partner registration rate is $199 and includes access to the welcome reception, conference breakfasts and breaks, and the Tuesday evening reception. It does not include entry to general sessions, breakout sessions, or Congressional Hill meetings.

A spouse/partner is defined as a significant other not employed by or affiliated with a California school district or county office of education. Co-workers or associates are not eligible. Misuse of this category will result in being charged the full conference registration rate.

Optional Pre-Conference Activity

Visit Mount Vernon, the historic home of George Washington, where advocacy and leadership are brought to life. Washington’s vision for independence, unity, and a strong federal government continues to inspire future leaders. This tour highlights how advocacy shapes both history and progress.

Guests will enjoy a private 60-minute behind-the-scenes tour of the mansion and grounds, followed by time to explore the outbuildings, gardens, tombs, slave memorial, working farm, and heritage breed animals. Dining is available at the Mount Vernon Food Court, with indoor and outdoor seating options.
