Monika Moulin
Board Member, Yosemite Unified School District
Monika Moulin is a trustee of the Yosemite Unified School District. She brings a wealth of experience in communications and marketing to CSBA’s Masters in Governance program as a presenter for the Community Relations and Advocacy module.
She provides public relations and community relations consulting and support to a variety of school districts, arts organizations and other groups. Moulin serves on Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” initiative geared at raising awareness about children’s health and fitness. As a community leader, she serves on boards of various groups including the Sierra Historic Sites Association and is a former Honorary Mayor of the foothills town of Oakhurst at the south entrance to Yosemite National Park.
Prior to re-entering the independent public relations consulting arena in 2003, Moulin was a vice president for Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, where she led teams handling campaigns for Netflix, Microsoft’s Games Division and Microsoft’s home productivity software. During her professional career, she managed public relations and publicity campaigns for ITT Sheraton, the Tournament of Roses Association, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, Ticketmaster, Mazda Motor of America, Taco Bell, Hunt-Wesson, Oscar-Mayer, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Moulin trained in music at Southern Methodist University, the University of Texas and at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Freiburg, Germany. She earned her CSBA Masters in Governance certificate in 2007.
She serves as a director of music for a local church and operates, with her husband Kirk, Yosemite Entertainment, the area’s premier provider of music services for weddings and other events in and around Yosemite National Park.
