Call for nominations for Delegate Assembly

Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, is the deadline to submit nominations and candidate biographical sketch forms for prospective members and incumbent members of CSBA’s Delegate Assembly. A list of delegates in each CSBA region whose terms are expiring is on CSBA’s Website at www.csba.org under the “About CSBA” tab.

Local boards in CSBA’s 21 regions will participate in the Delegate Assembly elections between Feb. 1 and March 15. Those elected will serve two-year terms from April 1, 2014, through March 31, 2016. There are two Delegate Assembly meetings each year, one in May and one preceding CSBA’s Annual Education Conference and Trade Show in late November or early December in San Diego or San Francisco.

Any CSBA member board is eligible to nominate board members within its geographical region or subregion. Each board may nominate as many individuals as it chooses. The process begins with submission of the official nomination form, which is available on CSBA’s website.

All nominees must submit a candidate biographical sketch form along with their nomination form; an optional one-page, one-sided résumé may also be submitted, but a résumé cannot be substituted for the candidate biographical sketch form. All nomination materials must be postmarked no later than Jan. 7. It is the responsibility of the nominee to ensure that all nomination materials have been received by the CSBA Leadership Services Department.
