SBE to discuss new accountability system at Nov. 4-5 meeting

The Nov. 5 session of the State Board of Education meeting includes several items of interest to CSBA members. Item 11 on the Thursday agenda includes a discussion of a new accountability system and alignment of existing state reports, and plans with the Local Control Funding Formula. There will also be a review of LCAPs of county offices of education, a demonstration of the electronic template for the LCAP and an update on the LCFF evaluation rubrics. SBE members are also scheduled to take up approval of test blueprints for the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California. The Thursday meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. with a session closed to the public due to pending litigation.
