Angelena Pride

Board Member, Rowland USD

 

Angelena Pride has been serving on the Board of Rowland Unified School District since 2013.  She completed the Masters in Governance Training in 2014, and later participated in several other CSBA trainings.  Pride has worked for Mt. San Antonio College, under the School of Continuing Education, for over 23 years.  She has served as a Coordinator of Workforce Training and Development, Coordinator of Adult Basic Education, and is currently the Director of Off-Campus High School.  She also serves as an adjunct faculty member.  Her experience working with K-12 school districts has enhanced her ability to understand the challenges and rewards school districts face from the inside out.

Pride is also an active member of the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association (LACSTA), an organization of school board members that provides training and information to Los Angeles County trustees; she currently serves as the Vice President.  She has also participated in the National School Boards Association Advocacy events in Washington D.C., where she met with California legislators to promote the agendas of K-12 school districts.

Pride holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of La Verne, a masters degree from Amberton University in Human Relations and Business, and a masters degree from Capella University in Education.
