Annette Yee Steck
Board Member, Carmel Unified School District
Annette Yee Steck has been a trustee of the at the Carmel Unified School District board of education since 1993. During this tenure, she has served as board president numerous times.
Yee Steck is a financial advisor who consults on general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, lease revenue bonds, Community Facilities District bonds and Tax and Revenue Anticipation Notes (TRANs) for California school districts. Before joining Montague DeRose and Associates as a Managing Director in 2017, she had her own consulting company, Annette Yee and Company, for 20 years. Prior to that, Yee Steck was an investment banker working for two different broker dealer firms underwriting municipal securities. She has been in public finance since her career began in 1983, and she has worked exclusively for school districts since 1996.
Due to her board experience and knowledge of school finance and facilities, Yee Steck became part of the Masters in Governance faculty in 2005 and is an instructor for two modules: School Finance and Collective Bargaining.
She has a bachelor’s degree in business economics and economics systems science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated magna cum laude.
